Celebrating 82nd anniversary of the Comité Mexicano Cívico Patriótic
PARADE STARTS AT 10:30AM ON CESAR CHAVEZ BLVD AND MEDNIK

The parade stands as a symbol of union and joy, having gathered hundreds of thousands of participants and attendees each year and expecting to do so again this year. In 2013, the parade celebrates Hispanic Heritage as well as the 82nd. anniversary of the formation of its organizer, Comité Mexicano Cívico Patriótico, an institution that has stood as one of the pillars of the Mexican-American community in Los Angeles since its inception in 1931.
The East Los Angeles Mexican Independence Day Parade in Los Angeles is presented by the Comité Mexicano Cívico Patriótico, produced by Jive Live Entertainment, and endorsed by the Consulate of Mexico, City of Los Angeles, and the County of Los Angeles.
ABC Ch. 7 will conduct a live broadcast from the parade (10:30am-12:00pm)
Channel 34 will conduct a Pre-recored broadcast of the parade (1:00pm-3pm)
